A business administration programme designed to provide students with the network, skills and mindset that will deliver a unique competitive business edge. The programme is flexible and allows students to personalise their schedule and learn at the pace and frequency that suit them best.
How do you differ from other programmes or institutions?
We believe that perseverance is the key to great learning. This is why we have created a unique learning experience that delivers the highest value in the shortest time by allowing you to shape your own schedule and complete the programme at your pace.
JOLT operates outside the space of formal academic regulation, so we evaluate ourselves after every single class. Every hour at JOLT is conceived with one purpose only: to move you forward.
We teach what you need to know now. This means the syllabus is absolutely current and constantly updated with the business methodologies and toolsets relevant to today’s market.
What do you teach?
We teach business administration using the world’s most effective model: Startup methodology. We apply this to teach you data, effective communication, personal skills and management as practiced by the world’s most innovative companies.
How do I get accepted?
Applicants must have a BA + two years of employment experience, or 4 years of employment experience without a BA. The admission process includes a personal interview for all applicants.
When does the programme start?
The programme runs all year and you can join at any point.
How long does it take to complete the programme?
The programme consists of 100 content units amounting to a cumulative 3500 points. The flexible schedule allows students to complete all units and collect the points at their own pace, attending regularly once a week or for concentrated study days. For those balancing the programme with work and other commitments, we recommend arriving weekly, i.e. 4 times a month.
How can I monitor my progress?
Every unit completed awards you a designated number of points. The number of points will be updated automatically and appear on your timeline in the application so you can easily track and monitor your progress and points balance throughout the programme.
Do I receive a diploma?
Certainly. Upon completion of all content units and reaching the required 3500 points, you will receive the JOLT Not an MBA diploma. In addition, every skill acquired will award you a JOLT badge to add to your LinkedIn profile : )
If I decide it’s not for me, can I cancel?
Yes. You must cancel 3 business days prior to the date of your scheduled monthly payment.
Is there a limit on weekly attendance?
The monthly payment allows you to sign up for 4 90-minute classes per month. This carries over from one month to the next, so you may use paid tickets at any time. Conversely, if you wish to take more than 4 classes a month, you may purchase as many additional tickets as you like.
How do I sign up for classes?
Via the application.
After purchasing a subscription, you will receive a welcome email. Follow the instructions to set up your account and select a password. Now you may sign up for classes via the application using the “Reserve a Seat” feature.
What is the difference between classes, workshops and mini-courses?
To complete the Not an MBA requirements, students are required to complete 3500 points. The programme offers content units that vary in scope and format, and in the number of points they carry.
Class: a 90-minute interactive lesson with a world-class expert.
Workshop: a 3-hour session teaching a practical tool or skill with a world-class expert. This longer format includes both theory and hands-on practice.
Mini-course: a series of 4 classes dedicated to a particular skill, method or tool. In this format, students sign up for all 4 sessions with the same world-class expert for in-depth learning.
What if the class I want is fully booked?
Once a class is fully booked, the button that normally says “Reserve a Seat” will say “Join Waiting List”. Selecting this option will place you on a waiting list. If a seat becomes available, we will reserve it for you and send you a registration email.
Classes are repeated frequently. If you have not been able to sign up for a chosen date, you can catch it the next time.
I signed up for a class and changed my mind. Can I cancel and get my ticket back?
Yes - Classes and workshops: Cancel at least 48 hours before the sessions for a full ticket refund.
Mini-courses: Cancel at least 72 hours before the first session for a full ticket refund. If you cancel after that and before the first session, you will get back 50% of the tickets. Tickets will not be refunded for cancellations after the first session.
