Jolt's Validated

After going through the process of building a syllabus of practical skills, relevant for today and making sure they were skills companies ACTUALLY wanted we went one step further.

We’re also CPD accredited. Why?

Because it's important that you know a third party has scrutinised our syllabus to ensure it’s integrity and quality. And so you can use our classes to fill up your CPD logs and show off your commitment to your professional development to current and future employers.

Our sole mission is to give our students a competitive advantage in business. So every class you take at Jolt will move you one step closer to your goals.

What is CPD/ Continuing Professional Development?

There are millions of professionals across the UK who are required to undertake CPD training every year.

CPD refers to the process of tracking and documenting the skills, knowledge and experience that you gain both formally and informally as you work. This process makes learning conscious and proactive rather than passive and reactive.

It’s part of a wide-spread acceptance that academic qualifications must offer more vocational and skills-based or ‘practical’ learning to fit today’s needs.

Accredited CPD training means the learning activity has reached the required Continuing Professional Development standards and benchmarks.  The learning value has been scrutinised to ensure integrity and quality. The CPD Certification Service provides recognised independent CPD accreditation compatible with global CPD requirements

Why did we get accredited?

Increasingly professionals are expected to undertake Continuing Professional Development at all stages of career, regardless of industry sector, job title or responsibilities. It’s how employees are making themselves indispensable and showing their employers their commitment to their own, and the company’s growth.

The CPD Certification Service helps organisations formalise knowledge into a structured and recognised approach to meet those expectations. By gaining accreditation we’re giving our students the ability to talk about their studies at Jolt with credence. They can log the classes they take as part of their CPD records, helping them reach their career goals and meet the expectations of professional bodies they’re a member of.

Why do employees record their CPD achievements?

  • It’s a requirement to be a member of most professional bodies
  • To show an overview of their professional development to date
  • To look back at their achievements and how far they’ve progressed
  • To help them track the direction of their career and movement towards their goals
  • As a way uncovering gaps in their skills and capabilities and identify further development needs
  • To provide examples and scenarios for a CV or interview
  • To show professional standing to clients and employers
  • To help with career development or a possible career change.

The Key features of a CPD process:

To justify the name, CPD needs to:

  • be a documented process
  • be self-directed: driven by the employee, not the employer
  • focus on learning from experience, reflective learning and review
  • help set development goals and objectives
  • include both formal and informal learning.
